The (Don’t Fear) The Reaper quest is a secret ending in Cyberpunk 2077 that can be achieved at the beginning of Act 3. Apart from the ‘Easy Way Out’ ending, (Don't Fear) The Reaper is by far the fastest ending you can get without playing through all of Act 3.

Find V in a less-than-ideal state next to a municipal dumpster.
After you sit on the building’s rooftop at the end of the ‘Nocturne Op55N1’ quest, Johnny Silverhand suggests you storm into Arasaka Tower alone. While this secret ending is achievable by finishing a certain side job, completing this quest requires a lot of effort.
How To Get The (Don’t Fear) The Reaper Quest in Cyberpunk 2077
To get (Don't Fear) The Reaper quest, you must complete the ‘Chippin’ In’ side job before the point of no return, and select specific responses in your dialogue with Johnny Silverhand. When you head to the Oilfields with Johnny, he will start another dialogue near the mission objective, and you must select the following responses in your dialogue:
- Inscribe Johnny’s initials on the first choice.
- Continuing, select ‘The Guy Who Saved My Life.’
- In your third response, you must select 'No, you f**ked that up too.'
- Give Johnny a second chance by selecting ‘What do you want from me’ and ‘OK. But as second chances go, this is your last’ for your next two responses.
- In the end, agree to call Rogue.
After meeting with Hanako during 'Nocturne Op55N1' you'll sit with Johnny at the Embers' rooftop, where you have to suggest that Johnny and Rogue go to the Arasaka tower. He will ask you whether you are sure or not, and you must remain indecisive in the dialogue screen without selecting anything.
Make a manual save, because dying at any point during this mission will cut you straight to the credits screen, you are not allowed to make quick saves, and the game will only autosave at two specific points during the mission.
After a few minutes, Johnny will suggest you go alone to the tower to settle things, which will start the '(Don’t Fear) The Reaper' quest. Once you choose this ending, you will be directly cut to the Arasaka Tower entrance.
How To Get To The Elevator In (Don’t Fear) The Reaper Quest
Raiding the Arasaka Tower alone is no less than a suicide mission, so it is best to have a high character level before starting the secret ending mission since you will have to confront all the guards alone and it's particularly hard to fend off waves of high-level enemies. As you are cut to the Arasaka Tower entrance, you will be stopped by max-level Arasaka Samurai and Arasaka Special agents, and you must defeat them to get to the elevator area behind them.
Ensure that you have plenty of Injectors since you will see the ‘Relic Malfunction Detected’ message at the mission's start, which will cap your max health and reduce it significantly. Your health will also gradually keep decreasing throughout the mission.
After defeating the guards, head to the lobby area behind them to access the elevator and you'll need an access token to open the elevator, which can be looted after eliminating the new wave of enemies in the lobby. After you have obtained the access token from the dead agents, you can now call the elevator to the 'Netrun Ops' floor, but you must first deal with the new mech that spawned after the elevator arrived in the lobby.

How To Get To Mikoshi Access Point in (Don't Fear) The Reaper Quest
Before you can get to the Mikoshi Access point, you will be ambushed by more guards and enemies on the Netrunner Operations floor. Guards will close in on your position from the two doors on the right side of the elevator.
There is not much space to find cover in this area, so it's best to use explosives and close-range weapons to deal with the guards attacking you.
After eliminating all the guards, head inside the door on your left and take another left until you encounter a few more groups of Arasaka agents. After dealing with all the guards, Johnny will draw your attention toward the tower’s mainframe at the lower level, so drop down from the platform on the left side of the room and follow your waypoints.
Before you drop down, you will face another mech and at least eight more guards targeting your position from the lower platform. It is best to deal with them using Quickhacks, explosives, and long-range weapons.
Once on the lower floor, you must find a way to connect Alt to the mainframe under the floor in the center of the large hall. To expose it, use the computer in the control room on the side of the large hall and enable the 'Arasaka Tower Mainframe' from the 'Local Network' section.
Deal with the newly spawned enemies and head to the hall's center to connect Alt with Arasaka’s Mainframe.
How To Complete (Don’t Fear) The Reaper Quest
Now that you have connected Alt to the mainframe, all that is left is to get to the Mikoshi Access point. Follow your waypoint marker, which will lead you to a closed door that you'll have to force it open after Alt goes momentarily unresponsive.
As you try to lift the door, you will be attacked by Adam Smasher, the last enemy in this mission, who must be defeated to advance to the Mikoshi Access Point. Once you finish him and finally reach the Mikoshi Access Point, all that is left is to connect yourself to Mikoshi and submerge your body in the coolant.
Make sure to heal yourself and restock on ammo and weapons by looting the dead guys nearby before you head to the closed gate because Adam Smasher won’t go down that easily.
You will be sent back to the rooftop at the start, where you must pick up a necklace from where you talked to Misty. Now, you will meet Johnny again, who will congratulate you on executing a successful plan, and will also tell you that Alt already split you and Johnny by initiating Soulkiller on V.
In the end, Alt will give you two choices:
- Cross the bridge and become a part of cyberspace.
- Enter the well to return to V’s body.
