Parking at Canada Place

Short-term parking

Stops of 15-minutes or less are permitted for picking up and dropping off cruise passengers at the Canada Place parkade.

For stays longer than 15 minutes, please choose a stall and pay for parking at an on-site payment machine or online.

Long-term parking

Long-term parking is available at the Canada Place parkade for vehicles 198 cm (6’6”) in height or under on P1 and 205 cm (6’9”) in height or under on P2.

Passenger pick-up and drop-off information

Immediate passenger pick-up

  • Enter the Canada Place cruise ship terminal via the vehicle ramp at the foot of Howe Street
  • Receive instructions from a Port of Vancouver traffic attendant near the top of the ramp
  • Proceed down the ramp in the lane designated by the traffic attendant – go directly to the location provided by the traffic attendant
  • Follow the signs to the orange zone, located on the P1 Level
  • Pull into the immediate pick-up lane. Note: If your passengers are not within the pick-up area, please move out of the lane and wait for them in a parking stall. (Parking fees will apply)
  • Leave the orange zone as quickly as possible after picking up your passenger

Passenger drop-off

  • Enter Canada Place cruise ship terminal via the vehicle ramp at the foot of Howe Street
  • Receive instructions from a Port of Vancouver traffic attendant near the top of the ramp
  • Proceed down the ramp in the lane designated by the traffic attendant
  • Proceed to the designated drop-off location
  • Take your baggage to the location marked for your ship

Note: When checking your baggage, please clearly indicate which vessel you are sailing on. Do not leave your passports or medication in checked baggage.

Ride hailing and ride sharing

Pick-ups

Ride hailing vehicles (Uber, Lyft, etc.) are not permitted to pick up guests at the Canada Place cruise terminal. Guests can meet their drivers at the designated City of Vancouver ride hailing pick-up zone(s) at street level.

Drop-offs

Ride hailing vehicles are permitted to drop off guests on level P2 at the Canada Place cruise terminal parkade. Vehicles can enter via the:

  • main parkade entrance off Canada Place Way
  • east side entrance off Waterfront Road
  • Cordova Street tunnel

Under no circ*mstances should guests be dropped off on

  • Canada Place Way
  • Howe Street
  • Cordova Street

The Canada Place cruise terminal at the Port of Vancouver is located next to the TransLink public transport system at Waterfront station, which includes:

Note: travel to areas outside of the above locations will be subject to standard metered rates based on time and distance travelled.

Shuttles and tours

Gray Line Westcoast Sightseeing is located at the ground transportation desk at the Canada Place cruise terminal.

Gray Line Westcoast Sightseeing offers private transfers and sightseeing tours. They can also arrange bus service from Vancouver to Victoria, Bellingham, Seattle, and SeaTac airport.

Limousines

Passengers are welcome to pre-book a limousine from the approved list of companies below.

After disembarkation, please check in with a traffic attendant at Door D to have your limousine dispatched to the cruise terminal. Limousine companies that refuse to adhere to this process will not be given access to the terminal and will need to meet their pre-arranged cruise guests at street level.
