Just Wow. A must visit place. Wonderful exhibits. They’ve different galleries, a wing alone for the historic exhibits, which were a lot (we weren’t able to see everything). And artistic exhibits are also Amazing. They’ve hot shops showing the glass demonstrations almost every 30 min, throughout the day. Definitely attend one. Don’t miss the innovation floor, it was quite interesting. There’s a beautiful gift shop with so many things and a good cafe, with vegetarian options. And Yes, make your own glass is nothing we can actually make, but only choose what shape and colours you want, and you can have really closer look, which was still nice to experience. It would be good if it’s specified clearly on the website what to expect. Also would love more interactive exhibits. Definitely a great visit.

Corning Museum of Glass is one of my favourite museums to visit, it is part art gallery.The glass collection is just stunning to see the creativity in this difficult medium. They have many different types of informational sessions throughout the day and are very educational for people of all ages.Children 17 and under are free of charge which is great value for families on a budget. Highly recommend visiting especially with children, it's a great learning experience.

I'm a fan of the Netflix show blown away so of course I had to drive 4hrs to visit this museum on my vacation it was worth it. The whole museum is clean and sleek,The pieces were beautiful. The admission was easy I got my tickets online with a AAA discount and I just checked in at the desk and started exploring. They also have a great museum store with a lot of pieces for sale along with shirts and magnets. It's definitely worth a visit

Very beautiful place to visit and also get lots of knowledge about glass making history and optical fiber. Don't forget to watch both of their glass blowing demonstrations. If you want to make your own glass, book it at least 3 months before your visit.

I love visiting this place. The modern art installations are my favorite part of the museum, but the whole thing is really well done with amazing architecture and always something to learn. This time we were able to visit a demonstration in the hot shop, which was really fun. And we also were able to take advantage of making some of our own glass after making a reservation. That was super fun. Looking forward to our next visit!

This museum was such an amazing stop on our way to Niagara Falls. Everyone enjoyed from toddler to adult. The sandblasting class (additional fee) was a lot of fun and the glasses came out beautiful. Our three year old even designed her own. I'd highly recommend. The cafeteria offered a wide variety of foods and was clean and fast. We look forward to visiting again.

Very engaging museum which can keep adults and children busy for several hours. You can explore the glass art gallery, discover the amazing science behind everyday glass objects, with many hands on displays that keep kids looking for more. Additionally there are free to watch live presentations (glass making and the exciting glass Breaking). For additional cost you can participate in a glass making session (good idea to pre register to save a spot). While this was interesting, we were a little disappointed since participation in the actual glass making is minimal. Also note that you either need to come in the next day to pick up your work or pay an additional shipping fee. Lastly there is a great cafeteria with a wide selection of foods that are very reasonably priced (not typical for museums). Free parking is available with an EV charging station. If you are up in the Finger lakes area this is definitely a great place to visit. When you're done, you can chill out in one of the many wineries or breweries in the area.

There are many lovely artworks to see that would educate your thoughts and consciousness. The museum arrangement is the only reason I gave it four stars. The galleries are not well-organized to display all of the artworks. You might miss a few of them because they are in a blind spot. In addition, the signs directing you to the galleries were unclear. While looking for gallery #6, we ended up in gallery #7. And walking the #7 led us to the #6 at the end. Aside from that, there is a live show in gallery #3 at certain times which a glass making process is demonstrated to visitors. Check the time slots and arrive on time to watch the show. It is included in the price of the ticket. On the ground floor, there is a museum shop where you may purchase the most stunning glass pieces. Based on the prices I've observed, the price range is about between $10 and $10,000. Overall, it's a must-see museum in Corning!

Very cool and interesting displays. Nice gift shop. Cafe food was priced as expected, maybe slightly cheaper. The food had good flavor but was not even relatively warm. I will definitely visit again to see new displays. The sandblasting was really fun and the glass sculpture making was very interesting. Highly recommend, but first watch Blown Away seasons 1-4, makes it that much more interesting.

Really fantastic museum and HUGE!! It's quite an encyclopedic collection of a fascinating material. Everything from art to industry to science and more. We spent about two hours here and still didn't see it all. We did manage to catch one of the glass blowing demos though which was super cool to see. The gift shop was just as impressive as the museum itself, large and varied. Anyway, it's def worth a visit if you're nearby.

We had no much clue what to expect in a glass museum when we started our day here. But this place is mindblowing, and we ended up spending 5 hours going through everything here. We had such an amazing experience watching all the beautiful exhibits and learning many new things about glass.Entry is $30 for adults and free for kids of any age. We had basic sandblasting added as well, which was $14. The place is worth every dollar we spend.Live demos - we saw glass making and glass breaking demo as well. It was great to see how the glass is turned into different forms just by blowing and rolling. The glass breaking was very informative. We also did the sandblasting, which was a fun activity.Must watch place upstate newyork. Nature lovers can take a break and spend a half day here enjoying cool things made of glass and learning some new things.

Beautiful place to spend time with family to see some amazing glass work. They have superb crockery and gifts . Corelli Crockery was worth to buy . They have amazing pieces of glass and crystal from different artists. The place have baby care restroom which I have not seen at many places , since I have infant with me soIt was a bless. They have shows where they give live demo of making of glass pieces.

This is an amazing museum with so many cool displays. There is something for everyone & the gift shop is the largest I've ever seen. It is worth the price of admission & they also participate in the Museums for All program if you receive food assistance with am EBT card. The parking lot is close but they do have shuttle busses if you park farther away.

I love this place! I've been going here since I was a kid, and I'm impressed every time. Gorgeous art with a lot of heart. I also really love making my own glass sculptures and necklaces when I go here. A little on the pricey side, but you definitely get your money's worth. I highly recommend getting the package deal with the Rockwell Museum to further enhance the experience.

The CMOG has a world-class collection of glass artifacts from the earliest beginnings of glass making, to modern art.If you are looking to experience "all things glass" this is a great place to visit. If you are looking to take an in-depth study of a certain subject, you will probably be disappointed.The entirety of the "Early American" bottles and glass items that are on display is shameful. The quality of the display shelves would be rivaled by Value City Furniture. In many instances there are killer (sometimes unique) bottles on a dark, crowded shelf where they can hardly be seen.An American museum that displays early American Glass so poorly is just a shame. The items that they probably have packed away in boxes that are not on display, is mind-boggling. But they will probably never see the light of day.The gift shop is phenomenal.

Great experience for all ages! Very interactive and engaging throughout! Went on a Memorial Day weekend a few years ago with wife and three kids. All of us had a good time and my wife was able to make her own glass ornament. We never realized how important Corning was to developing Pyrex and other glass products ranging from lighthouse glass to telescope development.

Sensory friendly! The museum offers a sensory backpack. My daughter wore the headphones the whole time and the sunglasses in bright exhibits. The fidget helped her wait her turn. The museum staff was awesome as well. Everyone was friendly and willing to explain things for her.We tried the make your own glass. I appreciate that it wasn’t crowded and activities were separated. My eight year old blew glass while my six year old fused a nightlight.On a six hour road trip with lots of meltdowns, the Corning Museum was the only stop that went smoothly.Happy mom. Thank You!P.s. We were worried about doing a hot glass project because they need to cool overnight. They said they could hold projects for up to 30 days. So we made it on our way up and pick it up on our way home. We recommend buying the make your own tickets in advance because they can sell out.

During our couple of days staying in the nearby town of Watkins Glen, we had the opportunity to visit the Corning Museum of Glass. I found myself wishing for more time to thoroughly explore the exhibits; 45 minutes simply wasn’t enough. Thankfully, the museum offered us a complimentary return entry valid for the next four weeks.Our visit began in the auditorium, where we were treated to a 20-minute live demonstration of glassmaking. The demonstration included a video detailing each step of the process, with a focus on the heating furnace used to melt the glass.The museum itself is segmented into various sections, including a prehistoric area, each richly filled with diverse displays. There was an impressive amount of security to ensure children didn’t touch any delicate pieces. The descriptions provided beneath each display were informative and added depth to our visit.The gift shop was remarkably large, the biggest I’ve seen in any museum. Although there was a café on site, it was unfortunately closed during our visit.Overall, visiting the Corning Museum of Glass is highly recommended for anyone in the area. What an awesome time to visit during the week when it’s not busy. It was a little busy on weekday and I can’t imagine on weekends.The town is amazing too and one of the locals actually told us to come here. I would say get the membership as it about cheaper if you buy something at the end of theIt’s works like a loop and easy to visit everything here. I learned a lot and get to see amazing glasswork piece.This place is amazing huge and just stunning.

My daughter, mother and I visited on April 2nd and 3rd. We had an amazing experience both days. April 2nd we made glass flowers that came out beautiful thanks to Mona and her thorough help. She was the best. On the 3rd my daughter was chosen for her drawing from the daily, You Design it; we make it. Watching her drawing transform into the glass piece was just incredible. One of the most amazing museums I've experienced in a very long time. So impressive. We cannot wait to go back!

Really great museum. I wasn't expecting all the older glass pieces or the more modern designs. It was a real treat and am glad that I stopped by. I highly recommend visiting.

We made ornaments and it was so much fun! The museum was a ton of fun! Both the modern side and the other side! Learning how glass is made, and has been made throughout history was just amazing! If you are ever in the area I suggest you stop by and do it!! You will love it because it is awesome!!
